Description Ruediger Oertel 2007-05-21 22:50:04 UTC
during debugging another issue I found this in the logfile:
(EE) AIGLX error: dlsym for __driCreateNewScreen_20050727 failed (/usr/lib64/dri/fglrx_dri.so: undefined symbol: __driCreateNewScreen_20050727)
(EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering
Comment 1 Stefan Dirsch 2007-05-22 02:14:59 UTC
Known issue. Not sure if there are any plans to support AIGLX in the near future.
Comment 2 Stefan Dirsch 2007-09-14 03:42:26 UTC
As far as I know AIGLX support is planned for driver release 8.42. I think this will also fix

Bug #173180 - Broken DAMAGE extension in fglrx driver
Bug #64950 - Composite extension not supported
Comment 3 Stefan Dirsch 2007-10-25 03:43:41 UTC
8.42.3 has been released
* Support for Accelerated Indirect Rendering (AIGLX)
[...]
* Corruption is no longer noticed when the Composite extension is
  enabled

==> fixed
