During installation my mouse didn't work so that I used
the keyboard to control YaST.

On the "Installation Settings" screen, both tabs "Overview"
and "Expert" have no keyboard shortcut so that it is a bit
tricky and annoying to switch between the tabs only with
the tabulator and arrow keys.

The same for the tabs on the "Package Installation" screen.

That is so, yes. It's a known limitation of the tab widget used in YaST2 that it cannot have keyboard shortcuts.
