Bugzilla – Bug 308758
mpfr subpackages missing from 10.3
Last modified: 2007-09-07 19:51:40 UTC
Several packages are missing from the DVD9, which are important for development (e.g. to compile GCC). In particular mpfr-devel mpfr-32bit mpfr-devel-32bit I'm not sure if the absense of these packages doesn't point to a deeper problem in forming the package lists. After all the -devel package is a subpackage of mpfr itself, which _is_ on the DVD. It might be wise to check for sure that not also other "natural" packages are missing.
yast2-power-management is also missing. I have it installed on my 10.2 system, and I think we should either be able to update it with the DVD9 or remove that package from the system during update (i.e. provide/obsolete it, but that doesn't really make sense as we still have it).
mpfr is on the DVD because Rudi thought it's needed for the Cell pattern. It's not on my list and won't be - we put things on patterns on DVD and beta3 is basically too late to figure a "natural" tool should be in pattern. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 300540 ***
So, add mpfr-devel to the devel_basis or devel_C_C++ pattern.
