Description Scott Reeves 2007-09-07 18:37:04 UTC
This occurs every time after a reboot on my thinkpad T42P. As soon as X comes up I have a black bar about 1/2 inch wide across the bottom of the screen. The black area is still functional, I can login and then click where the panel is supposed to be and get the menu, clock and things to popup out of the blackness. If I restart my X server everything then works fine.

Also if I push my mouse all the way down to the bottom of the screen I get distortions and my mouse cursor shows up at the top of the screen.

Could you also also attach /etc/X11/xorg.conf?
