/var/log/zypper.log showing zypper search gone postal

I just did a simple search from the zypper shell:

zypper> se -u vnc

and it is still running 30 minutes later!  I'll attach /var/log/zypper.log bzipped; I think the trouble starts at the timestamp:

2007-10-15 17:28:57

Let me know if you need to see /var/*/zypp or any other relevant files.

75 minutes later and still going... I think I will get bored and kill it soon.

Just did another one, this time without the -u and the same thing happens:

zypper> se novellvpn

The Pend number is going up and up as before...

It seems the solver is falling in a endless loop, I wonder why we solve on search?
