Mute button on Thinkpad T43P does not work. Volume Up/Down works fine.

There must be something special with the T43(p).  c.f. bug #297020.

Magnus, did it work before?  Or did it stop working?

Timo,

It justed to work (pretty sure it worked with 10.3) but stopped working with Factory.
I just noticed now that it does actually mute the sound, but it's not reflected in the mixer applet, nor on the OSD.

Magnus, is this still broken?  I recently installed STABLE on another ThinkPad and everything works as expected.

Yes, that sounds similar.  Let's close this as duplicate.  I guess that trenn is the one who can help there.
