Disable "autocheck" when starting YaST2 sw_single
Last modified: 2007-11-15 13:45:43 UTC
Please don't have "autocheck" enabled by default when starting YaST2 sw_single. It adds absolutely nothing to functionality but it takes a lot of time since it will always do a dependency check if I add/remove packages and click Accept.
I think that more usable is to make the option persistent, i.e. remember the value for the next run. Some users want the autocheck some not...
Best option would be to add a variable to /etc/sysconfig/yast2 where it can be enabled. But please please please disable it by default (it even affects new installs, where you get dependency check at least 5 times just by adding or removing one package)
That would be another setting in the yet-to-be-written UI settings / session management. -> bug #58579 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 58579 ***
