Description Hubert Trzeci 2008-01-14 13:13:53 UTC
When installing Opensuse 11 (also on 10.3 x86 as well as AMD_64) from a DVD on SATA opensuse fails to load AHCI drivers. It stops for about 5minutes on "loading ahci" then goes on and when the graphical installaion should begin suse claims that no repository could be found (because the SATA DVD couldn't be loaded).
Options like pci=nomsi acpi=off don't help. If i use brokenmodules=ahci the it goes on but I'm unable to install the system from my DVD on sata then.

ctrl-alt-f4 gives you kernel logs. Does the kernel complain about anything while the system is stalled?
