Description Michael Meeks 2008-05-08 11:03:32 UTC
When I hot-plug my monitor, xrandr notices and tells me that this has happened if I poll it on the console.

However - I get no notification, no gnome-display-properties popup, and no sensible default configuration :-) [ default to cloning ? ].

IIRIC;
If the particular monitor has been used before, then gnome-display-properties is suppose to restore that configuration (ie, on which side the monitor is, what's the resoultion, xinerama/clone etc)

But I agree that if it's a new configuration, default to clone would be nice.

We will not fix this for openSUSE 11.0, but see the duplicate bug for the equivalent in 11.1.
