Bugzilla – Bug 391321
openSUSE Updater displays wrong question (polish)
Last modified: 2008-05-19 09:56:55 UTC
openSUSE updater asks two different questions in the same dialog. First question is about *installing* updates and second is about *checking for* updates.
Created attachment 215958 [details] Confusing dialog of openSUSE Updater I added my own translations Polish ? English to let non-polish ppl understand the problem.
Just noticed that in popup of tray icon and in tooltip there is also question "Check availibility of updates?"

Thanks for your report. This popup is shown when the post installation workflow hasn't run. Clicking the button triggers following actions: - add an update repository - register your installation (of course only if you agree) - check for updates - install updates It is hard to cover all these action with one phrase. The shown popup is a compromise and the less confusing text we could find. Closing this bug because the reported behavior is intended.
