I had a DSL connection set up in opensuse 10.3. After an upgrade to 11.0, the "External interface" option in the DSL connection configuration was unchecked. I am not sure what the set up looked like before upgrade, but it is unlikely it was like this.

It's /var/log/YaST2/*
And it would be great if you can reproduce it on openSUSE11.1

Reproduced also on 11.0->11.1 upgrade
Problem seems to be only in that checkbox, in "yast2 firewall" module I can see that dsl0 _IS_ in external zone

problem affected both dsl and modem, fixed in yast2-network-2.18.20
