Juergen, I assign this bug back to you, since you work on the new concept of osc cli.

A possible suggestion from my side would maybe to support "osc meta ." which detects if directory is a project or package. this may conflict with current meta command, but we should rethink it maybe also.

A general concept is needed here, nothing specific to 'co' or 'meta'.
