Bugzilla – Bug 414682
YaST package manager (Qt) shows the wrong number/size of remaining packages during installation process
Last modified: 2008-09-04 12:45:49 UTC
The YaST package manager (Qt) shows the wrong number/size of remaining packages during installation process: a) package number and (total) size is never updated for the sources b) package (total) size is never updated for the summary c) package number is updated for the summary, but not before installation of the second package is complete This only happens, when installing packages for the second time after starting the package manager. It is reproducable: 1.) start package manager and let YaST show all available updates 2.) deselect some of the updates (e.g. when many/large updates are available) 3.) update the selected packages 4.) let YaST show again all available (remaining) updates 5.) update the selected packages This bug has a long tradition. It already occured in the 9.x-versions of SUSE...

Alright, see attachments. I think it is caused by the selection-deselection-selection-process...

It seems that the internal status of the progress dialog is not fully reset. Anyway, in 11.1 the software manager module cannot be restarted, it will finish after packages are installed/removed so this situation will not happen.
