Powersave makes computer freeze
Last modified: 2009-01-19 12:24:39 UTC
When powersave gets started I get an error and the computer freeze. The only I can do is poweroff the computer. Aug 15 16:03:46 linux-ext5 powersaved[2556]: WARNING (continueEvent:250) Could not execute program /usr/lib/powersave/scripts for event daemon.scheme.change: No such file or directory I attach warn file.

Can you please varify that it's powersave which causes the freeze? Please do 'chkconfig -d powersave' and reboot, still freezing? (You have to 'chkconfig -a powersave' to reenable it) Furthermore, please try to boot with CPUFREQ=off. Thanks.
No info provided for over 3 month. John, if the problem persists and you can provide the requested information, feel free to reopen this bug. Can you try if that also happens with openSUSE 11.1?
