Description Mario Carrion 2008-09-29 18:43:36 UTC
1. Run "Sound Card Advanced Options" in YaST
2. Select your Sound Card from the list
3. Click "Edit" button.
4. Selection option "Model"
5. Click "Edit" button
6. Write your model and click OK in the popup window.
7. Click "Next"
8. Click "Finish"
9. Re-open "Sound Card Advanced Options" in YaST and go your edited sound card, you'll notice that the model value wasn't saved.

lspci -k:

00:14.2 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia
Kernel driver in use: HDA Intel
	Kernel modules: snd-hda-intel

To fix my sound card, I have to add manually the following option in "/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base"

options snd-hda-intel model=dell
