Once you've checked and applied "Mirror Screens" in the Monitor Resolution Settings application, you can't uncheck it. If you uncheck it and click Apply, nothing happens. If you close, and then relaunch the app, Mirror Screens will be checked again. Once you check it, the second screen disappears from the diagram, and you can't get it back.

Also, often when I doc my laptop, it defaults to mirror, even if I previously was running without mirror. This is pretty annoying because the only way I can get back to dual head without the screens mirrored is to unplug/plug in the external monitor while fooling around with the Monitor Resolution Settings app for a while. If I'm lucky, eventually the app will let me configure the external display without "Mirror Screens" being checked.

Bart, are you using SLED11 now? The newest code is in there, so I would appreciate it if you could test this again there.

If not, I'm about to submit a big set of fixes for 11.1. I'll tell you when you can test this again.

I'm using 11.1

I've discovered that as a workaround, you can turn one monitor off. Then "mirror" is unchecked, and you can turn on the monitor back on and proceed.

The version with which you had the bug is now obsolete. I'll close this as NORESPONSE. If you can still reproduce it in current 11.4, please reopen the bug and move it to the appropriate version. Thanks!
