Description Forgotten User tfBQIqYkT6 2008-11-29 16:40:38 UTC
Disply Power Control cannot be work in my system.Just have the screen saver
running all day.It was caused by the screen saver running. If I set Power Control getting start before the screen saver running,It will work fine. OpenSUSE-11.1-RC1-DVD-i586.iso KDE3,KDE4, Environment also have this problem.A lot of the kde4 are having this problem. But KDE Four-Live 1.1.0 didn't have this problem, this version is for reference to resolve this problem. Thanks

Comment 6 Silviu Marin-Caea 2009-01-09 06:19:08 UTC
This bug is filed for KDE3. I see it happening in KDE4 as well. And not only in 11.1final but 11.2 factory too.

The monitor is not turned off by DPMS, only blanked.
Comment 8 Nkoli Ukpabi 2009-01-12 22:29:34 UTC
Hmm iirc the bug was fixed with 11.1 final, so most users don't have to deal with it. I have since upgraded to KDE4.2 factory, which worked fine until recently (the last week or so).
Comment 9 Silviu Marin-Caea 2009-01-13 07:13:55 UTC
This bug is alive on my 11.1final32bits with all updates to date. This is the only version of openSUSE that has this problem on that machine, all the versions before didn't.
Comment 10 Silviu Marin-Caea 2009-01-13 07:27:21 UTC
Didn't mention that I had 11.0 with KDE4.0 on this machine, previously. It didn't have this problem.
