Description Federico Mena Quintero 2009-02-17 17:12:13 UTC
When you have a docking station and the laptop's lid is closed, you want the external display to be the only one in use.

We should be able to detect when the lid is closed, and move the display over to the external monitor.

I took a look at the Intel driver. It has some disabled code to detect if the lid is closed; a comment mentions that it doesn't work very well. However, from this it is clear that X drivers are able to detect the lid state in general.

The version with which you had the bug is now obsolete. I'll close this as NORESPONSE. If you can still reproduce it in current 11.4, please reopen the bug and move it to the appropriate version. Thanks!
