update Xorg-X11 driver-video 7.4-19.4 to teh next causes start problem
Last modified: 2009-03-23 13:26:17 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009022800 SUSE/3.0.7-1.4 Firefox/3.0.7 update Xorg-X11 driver-video 7.4-19.4 to 7.4-19.5.1 (the next version) causes start problem and doesn't let me enter KDE 4.2 at the next reboot. It says something like: "master resources control: runlevel 5 has been skipped..." I downgraded! It is now ok. But every time I make a general update in general it appears again in the list and if I forget to protect this old version I have the problem again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.update to xorg-x11 driver-video 7.4-19.4 to 7.4-19.5.1 2. 3. Actual Results: on reboot terminal appears - no kde!!! Expected Results: KDE 4.2
This is almost certainly a dup of 486643. I had exactly the same symptoms.
