User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/3.5) KHTML/3.5.7 (like Gecko) SUSE Hello, I am installing opensuse-dvd-build0233-i586.iso The install went fine. It downloaded the the release notes oke and after I pressed the next button on the on the hardware configuration screen (printer, soundcard and TV-card)it saved the proposed settings and report the following: + If I click the OKE button the system presents 3 options retry, skip autorefresh and skip but whatever I tried the same error continues to pop up, so I am stuck. What can I do to correct this situation or should I press the power button to interrupt/stop the install Thanks for the help Regards, Frans Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install DVD 2.Select secundary language 3.Manual Configuration just to set up my non-DHCP internet connection with fixed IP address 4.Let installation contine to above described hardware configuration step and press the NEXT button. 5. The system runs in the described error while doing online update Actual Results: Error: Download failed Failed to download /media.1/media from: http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.2/repo/oss History: -[AbstractCommand cc196} URL=http://widehat.opensuse.org/factory-snapshot/repo/oss/media.1/media Expected Results: I expected that the install downloaded whatever was needed and finished the install correctly.
Hello, I did somemore trials to pass the errors and finally, after additional errors with regards to non-oss,the system continued saying that I have to install alevt and nxtvepg for my TVcard (that failed again with the same error messages) and finally I get the message that the install was successfully finished. I was able to log in the system but got messages saying that I have to configure the update system. Trying to do that via the pop-up messages or via yast resulted in the same error messages as reported earlier on in this bug report. I will try it later today again to see if the update server was not available. Regards, Frans
