Bugzilla – Bug 547328
keyboard volume buttons not linked with desktop
Last modified: 2009-10-26 11:36:21 UTC
I can adjust the volume of my thinkpad with the volume control buttons on the built-in keyboard. However, the volume control applet (in gnome) does not adjust when I do this. I can adjust the volume with the applet, but it should be linked to the buttons. Also, the volume control buttons on my USB keyboard no longer work. Also, when I use the volume buttons on the built-in keyboard, the volume meter no longer hovers on the desktop, as it used to. So, three problems here, probably related. M7 and M8 didn't have any of these problems.

It sounds like rather a gnome issue. Reassigned to GNOME guys.
