default gnome installation with suse 11.2 rc1.

even if xev is able to perfectly detect my volume keys, nothing happened on gnome, the volume is always the same... i have to click on the volume applet and manually change it from there

Andrea, in order to confirm that we're just seeing a dup, can you please update the package "gnome-settings-daemon" from the GNOME:Factory repository?

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/GNOME:/Factory/openSUSE_Factory/

The changelog should contan the entry:

* Thu Oct 22 2009 mxwu@novell.com
- Update spec file to add the missing BuildRequire of
  libcanberra-devel. Fix bnc#547565.
