I can't use my 5.1 Surround with my Audigy 4 since i upgraded from 11.1
Stereo is working fine.

It makes no difference if i enable/disable Pulseaudio.

lspci:
01:08.0 Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB0400 Audigy2 Value

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.I change the device in Pulseaudio from Digital Stereo (Working) to 5.1 Surround

Actual Results:
2.My Sound disappears
3. Following messages in /var/log/messages
Nov 28 23:06:54 pc01 pulseaudio[14802]: alsa-sink.c: ALSA woke us up to write new data to the device, but there was actually nothing to write!
Nov 28 23:06:54 pc01 pulseaudio[14802]: alsa-sink.c: Most likely this is a bug in the ALSA driver 'snd_emu10k1'. Please report this issue to the ALSA developers.
Nov 28 23:06:54 pc01 pulseaudio[14802]: alsa-sink.c: We were woken up with POLLOUT set -- however a subsequent snd_pcm_avail() returned 0 or another value < min_avail.

Expected Results:
5.1 Sound as i had before with Suse 11.1

I used Gnome and got this Error.

No sound just sometimes a crackling.

I disabled Pulseaudio. No change in Gnome. Still no sound.
I changed to KDE. And there was sound, but without the front speakers. I changed the
IEC958 OpticalRaw Switch to enabled and now i have 5.1 sound.

But still only in KDE. Gnome is still without sound and pulseaudio is unusable for me.

After a reeboot i have 5.1 sound in Gnome too. But still only without pulseaudio.

If i enable Pulseaudio the 5.1 sound disappears.

OK, this appears like a PA issue...

11.2 is out of support. As such it is hard to reproduce your problem on current software stack.
Please open a new issue if you still can reproduce it on current releases.
