GDM neither shutdown nor reboot the gnome session (it shows the login screen instead)
Last modified: 2009-12-03 14:54:15 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091103 SUSE/3.5.5-1.1.2 Firefox/3.5.5 Whenever I try to either shut down or restart my gnome session I ended up with the login screen instead! If I press on either the shut down or restart button, the system freezes. So I have to manually shut down my machine using the power button, which is not recommended. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.press shutdown or restart from gnome menu 2. 3. Actual Results: login screen appears instead of either shutting down or restarting the session Expected Results: system freezes
