I waited for long time but nothing happen. Finally, I checked the application menu and I found Google Chrome. I was confused. I think the installer should notify the user when it finished. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
hi,do you mean you open the rmp file with Package Installer in Gnome?
(In reply to comment #1) > hi,do you mean you open the rmp file with Package Installer in Gnome? I am using OpenSUSE 11.2 with KDE4. I mean there isn't any message tell me that you the program has been installed successfully.
How did you install the package? Via YAST or via clicking on the rpm in Dolphin or in another way?
(In reply to comment #3) > How did you install the package? > > Via YAST or via clicking on the rpm in Dolphin or in another way? via clicking on the rpm in Dolphin. Also the software management disappears when I finish install the first program. There are no way to install more software like synaptic package management.I have to run software management again to install another package.
Then this is a duplicate of bug 421660 See comment 30 in the above mentioned bug for a workaround/solution. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 421660 ***
No this not duplicate of bug 421660 because I am not using Software management here. I just click on the rpm file and it starts installation. The problem it doesn't give me a message that it finish installation successfully. The current behavior is wrong. It should tell me: OK I am finish and your program has installed successfully.
Sorry you are right. Reopening, however yast is used to install the software in this case but adding PKGMGR_ACTION_AT_EXIT="summary" in /etc/sysconfig/yast2 does not help. I change the component to yast.
It's a duplicate of bug #455768 which has been solved recently. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 455768 ***
