From the accerciser we can see that the List control has a header control under it, but from UIA Client it is readed as 'Custom' 

EPRO

1. Launch firefox3.5.4.
2. Click "Edit"-->"Preferences" on the menubar.
3. On the "Firefoxs Preferences" dialog, select "Applications" list item in the
top list. 
4. Launch UIA Explore.           
5. Expand the "Firefoxs Preferences" Window on the left of UIA Explore, and
expand "Applications" Custom, expand the list control undet it,there is a Custom, select it.
6. In Ipy Script shell, input the following command:
    acc.Current.ControlType.ProgrammaticName

RESULTS

'ControlType.Custom'

EXPECTED RESULTS

'ControlType.Header'
