Bugzilla – Bug 613352
[yast2-cc] Initial YaST2 window is slightly too narrow (or too wide)
Last modified: 2011-03-28 13:04:16 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100317 SUSE/3.5.9-0.1.1 Firefox/3.5.9 This occurs on a 1280x800 screen. The YaST2 window consists of two halves - the categories on the left and the modules on the right. The YaST2 that opens initially is slightly too narrow where the modules part consists of one column of modules plus a large amount of whitespace. From a user interface standpoint, the whitespace is undesirable and can be resolved by making the window slightly wider (in which case there are two columns of modules) or much narrower (in which case there is one column of modules and no whitespace). Reproducible: Always
Thomas something for you.
Hi Folks, I too would like to see the YaST window dimensions made a little more sensible please. Ideally YaST would remember resizes made by the user, but what Jeremy Figgins proposes is good.
Fixed in yast2-control-center version 2.20.2. It remembers the panel size now.
