Bugzilla – Bug 623676
had to set option WIRELESS_WPA_DRIVER='wext' in ifcfg file when using a rt2870sta based usb network device (D-Link DWA 150)
Last modified: 2010-09-07 12:52:40 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US) AppleWebKit/533.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/5.0.375.99 Safari/533.4 In the general network config file (/etc/sysconfig/network/config) I was asked to fill a bug report when I have problems using the new default driver (nl80211) for wpa_supplicant. As proposed in the config file I set the option WIRELESS_WPA_DRIVER='wext' in the corresponding ifcfg file (/etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-wlan0) and could connect successfully to the network using my D-Link DWA 150 usb device. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Created attachment 377129 [details] Patch changing to map rt2870sta to wext driver Thanks for the report! Attached a patch doing it.
