fglrx: points w/ vertex progs broken
Last modified: 2006-12-05 20:00:52 UTC
Rendering points with vertex programs enabled is completely broken. Find a glut test case attached. On rare occasions it core dumps for me, I haven't found out why and I do not get a reasonable stacktrace. Anyway, I have seen this behaviour before with other applications. The green points are drawn w/o vertex programs, the red ones w/ vertex programs enabled. They should look identically. Haven't tried this with Windows (should compile easily), but this would be worth a try.

Adding myself to all bugs related to fglrx to maintain awareness. Sorry for the churn on some of the bugs.
Matthias, could you please check whether this problem still exist with 8.12.10? ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/X/ATI/suse93/i386/fglrx/8.12.10
Problem persists. fglrx 8.12.10 kernel 2.6.11.4-20a-default card 0x4e44 "R300 ND" (Radeon 9700)
Problem persists. OpenSuSE 10.0b2 fglrx 8.16.20
Does this bug still exist on SLED 10 RC 2.5?
This has nothing to do with SLED, but with the fglrx driver. Will have to test the newest driver (maybe tomorrow).
Please note that this has been recorded in ATI bug 168851
Since this might get fixed by accident in a newer driver release setting to NEEDINFO.
Works fine on a X1600 (RV530 71C2) with 8.26.18 now, thanks a lot :-)
