Bugzilla – Bug 64950
Composite extension not supported
Last modified: 2007-10-25 03:44:36 UTC
Using Composite with the latests fglrx driver on 2.6.10-200501141727330000-default (kotd) renders fglrx inactive, somehow. Removing the Composite extentions from my xorg.conf fixed the problem for me on my Thinkpad T41p.
<!-- SBZ_reproduce --> Add Option "Composite" "Enable" to Extentions in your xorg.conf
Please do not directly assign Bugs to Matthew Tippett, he is not working at SuSE! Please assign to the component owner (Stefan), otherwise we will not know about the bugs and they won't get fixed. ATI is not using this bugzilla extensively. Bugs are assigned to Matthew by the SuSE Xorg team only for tracking purpose.
Ok, I'll take that into consideration next time...
This is an enhancement. ATI is aware of this problem.
Adding my self - correct spelling.
Assigning this to Matthew now ...
Christoph, could you please check whether this problem still exists with 8.12.10? ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/X/ATI/suse93/i386/fglrx/8.12.10
Sorry, my notebook isn't available right now - as soon as I get it back, I'll check "Composite" with fglrx.

... moving to SUSE Linux 10.1, as it still persists.
Closing as fixed. See Bug #276802, comment #2.
