I installed Moonlight 3.99.0.1 from http://www.go-mono.com/moonlight and i even see it enabled amongst the extensions but firefox still behaves like having noo silverlight compatible extension. The firefox from openSUSE 11.3 integrates the mentioned moonlight plugin very well. The test page at http://bubblemark.com/sl3/TestPage.html gives me more than 100 fps on an old notebook with openSUSE 11.3 (which has NO mono or moonlight related rpm packages installed), nut when using firefox in openSUSE 11.4, I always got the advice to install Microsoft Silverlight.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Ensure that no mono/silverlight related rpm packages are installed
2. install Moonlight 3.99.0.1 from http://www.go-mono.com/moonlight
3. Visit http://bubblemark.com/sl3/TestPage.html
Actual Results:
The site advises to install silverlight

Expected Results:
It should show a test animation instead

Is there any reason for not using moonlight from OBS?

I have two reasons:

-It didn't work for me at all in openSUSE 11.3
-It's quite old, slow and resource demanding compared to 3.99.0.1

Adding moonlight maintainer to CC.

I confirm this. Bug still exists in RC2. Installed latest moonlight, but page suggest to install silverlight: http://www.katsomo.fi/?treeId=38002&progId=62643

Latest version was only what worked with that "Katsomo" service in 11.3.

I installed moonlight-plugin from offical repo, does same. Firefox doesnt detect it.
Comment 6 Zsolt Sági 2011-03-09 22:19:24 UTC
After upgrading to final 11.4 firefox realized that it´s incompatible with the moonlight plugin and disabled it. I deleted the plugin and installed it again from www.go-mono.com/moonlight. I noticed that a new version of moonlight was released meanwhile and ig works now. The problem seems to be solved except that 11.4´s builtin plugin should be tested, too. Thanks to the firefox and moonolight teams!

It works with the builtin moonlight plugin, too. I consider this bug fixed. Thank you very much.
