Try omitting the -r option to dpkg-buildpackage. At least under Ubuntu 11.10 it will use a much more reliable und speedy sysv-Variant. This is wasting quite some of OBS computing resources.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. See package optperl5142-pkgs in home:kalium:test project. Lots of perl testing is done there during the packaging process.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Random timeouts, VERY slow building/testing.

Expected Results:
Reliable and speedy builds :-)
