Bugzilla – Bug 75976
Some non-gpl packages are being marked as GPL
Last modified: 2005-05-13 00:19:21 UTC
Build - 20050401 Problem When installing the server components of iFolder, all of the packages in YAST show that they are either GPL or LGPL. Only the ifolder3-welcome package shows that its license type is Novell, Inc. Solution The YAST package descriptions should accurately reflect the packages license type.

First: 'Novell, Inc.' is not a license. It is the name of a copyright owner. Second: Chaos rulse here. From your list, only the following are known in PDB: mod_mono,mono-core,mono-data,simias,xsp,yast2-ifolder3 These are unknown: ifolder3-web,ifolder3-enterprise,ifolder3-java-admin,ifolder-tsa, simias-enterprise,momo-web,ifolder3-welcome So these are built without autobuild --> manual fixing of specfiles needed.
Updated the following rpms to be of copyright Novell Commercial: ifolder-java-admin, yast-ifolder, yast-ifolderwebaccess, ifolder-welcome, ifolder-enterprise, simias-enterprise, ifolder-web-c, ifolder-web-java. Checked in 10:30am April 7th for RC1 in head (not yet branched).
Juergen, I'm not sure what you mean by your message. What exactly needs to be fixed in the rpm's you mention?
I wonder why some of the rpms show up in autobuild, and others don't. Autobuild puts in the licensefield found in PDB when building an RPM. So you may need to take care when checking in into autobuild... Other topic: What is the exact license that you want for these packages? If I read just 'Novell Inc', I would not know if it is proprietary code or if source is available; and partners would not know if they are allowed to redistribute; etc...
Regessed with the 20050425 build of iFolder
