Description Stephen Harmon 2005-01-06 20:32:42 UTC
In Designer help under,

Features & Usage > Application Services >
Preferences

there is no help page for the CSS category.
Import/Export has also been removed from Preferences
and should be removed from the help guide.

The "Designer" Category has also been added and
needs help pages created for it and its sub-pages
(Modeler & Projects).

Needed comments from bug 83205...

BUILD: 20050509
OS: Windows and Linux

I marked this as "Major" as we are releasing M4 and the doc should be up to
date.

Preferences have changed dramatically and need to be updated. We have included
a new section in preferences called "Identity Manager" that contain most of the
preferences we use in Designer. None of these are in the documentation. Just
to note., other than the above section that needs to be added, the preference
help needs to be overhauled to strip out old information and bring in the new.
All screenshots need to be updated as well. The preference page is located at:

help/topic/com.novell.designer.idm/html/app/Prefs.html

Jack,

I see the following wrong with the preferences section.

1.) Under the Policy Builder/Policy Description section, you are missing a
graphic.
2.) Under Identity Manager/Application/Prompts you have double-spaced lines
on the right column and none on the left. (see attached
screenshot "Application Screenshot"). In fact, this is seen through this
page. If you want to see me, I can show you what I mean.
Comment 7 Jack Tobiasson 2005-07-21 00:40:35 UTC
Checked in the missing graphic. Double spaced all text, including text in
tables. The alternative is to have text in tables single spaced but have other
text double spaced.

Hi Jack,
This looks better. However, you are still missing a graphic in the following
section:

Modeler

Show Driver Icons in Developer Mode <missing graphic here>
Displays a driver icon on the line that represents a driver in the Modeler.

Good eye. Thanks. Checked in the missing icon file.
Comment 12 Stephen Harmon 2005-07-25 21:44:08 UTC
Hi Jack,

I think I just got all the way through this. One last thing needs to be fixed
and we can close this out. If you go under the Preferences help you wrote,
you can delete the IDENTITY MANAGER > MODELR > DISPLAY > SHOW HELP KEY WHEN
CREATE NEW OBJECTS item. This is no longer in preferences. Let me know if
you have any questions.
Comment 13 Jack Tobiasson 2005-07-27 05:22:20 UTC
Removed the Show Help Key line from the table. Removed Install/Update.
Comment 16 Jack Tobiasson 2005-07-28 07:52:11 UTC
Checked in.
Comment 18 Stephen Harmon 2005-07-28 17:08:34 UTC
Jack,
As we discussed. The Automatic Updates has been added to preferences... This
needs to be documented.
Comment 19 Jack Tobiasson 2005-07-29 05:20:30 UTC
Good eye. Lee added some info. I added to it.
