Email links to bugzilla with varying URLs

The links in the emails sent by bugzilla seems to vary quite a bit - for instance, for bug#899714 2014/10/03 first reported http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=899714 2014/10/07 an update http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=899714 2014/10/10 someone added themselves as cc http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=899714 2014/10/13 I added an entry http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=899714 2014/10/14 reopened http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=899714 2014/10/20 info reqstd http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=899714 so, "bugzilla.opensuse.org", "bugzilla.suse.com" and "bugzilla.novell.com" ? Is bugzilla going schizo? :-) It looks to me as if the link address depends on how the updater accessed the report, which is probably not quite right.
Bugzilla formulates the email links using the URL in which the change submitted made their change. Since we did not expand Bugzilla to multiple URLs prior to the update, this is a new "quirk" of the system. I am currently working on an extension for Bugzilla to instead pull the URL from the product's brand to avoid such confusion.
Adding additional conditions to this bug from https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/11720 Current behavior also breaks email threading. If I'm able to correct the URL, I should also be able to correct the email header at the same time. Added to this week's work queue.
Enhancements laid out in this bug are currently being tested.

Enhancement tests during the time of the last comment were not successful and more work was necessary. Unfortunately, the enhancement got pushed out of the work queue shortly after. I will add this enhancement back to the work queue, and work should resume next week. If this does not end up being the case, I will update this bug accordingly.
