Black KDE screen after the latest update
Last modified: 2016-03-01 17:17:33 UTC
After applying latest updates (2016-03-01), KDE does not start properly anymore, it's just a black screen after login. I even tried reinstalling the whole machine and applying updates, then creating a new user. It's reproducible. Here's what happens after login: https://youtu.be/zAlZciuglsA
Hi I can confirm the problem with the latest upgrade. Login to plasma does not work. A login with gnome works, but kde applications do not start anymore. E.g.: # konsole QCoreApplication::arguments: Please instantiate the QApplication object first QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave. ostahl@lx16:~> konsole: relocation error: /usr/lib64/libKF5KDELibs4Support.so.5: symbol _ZN15QGuiApplication35setFallbackSessionManagementEnabledEb, version Qt_5 not defined in file libQt5Gui.so.5 with link time reference Otmar

Got same issue. After clean installed on 2 PCs and applied updates got the same black screen after log in and KDE loading screen. I can see only the mouse cursor on a black screen.
